
Fair, Linda
Ms. Fair began her teaching career in Chicago, IL after graduating from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb,IL. She came into teaching wanting to make a difference with her students in the way that they saw the world. Ms. Fair relocated to Nashville, TN and continued her teaching career. She received a Master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Ms. Fair taught for 22 years prior to going into administration. Being a principal for 16 years gave her an expanded perspective of the world of education. As an elementary school principal at two ELL schools, she gained a greater respect for the diversity of her student population. Ms. Fair believes that “as productive educators, each teacher has an obligation, to be the best motivator, thinker, and the most creative person possible. If we achieve the goal of productive educators, then we want to ignite the sparks of curiosity and create real-world connections in order for the learning cycle to begin.”
After retiring from Metro Nashville Public Schools in 2008, Ms. Fair has resolved to continue to mentor and assist student teachers to be thinkers, shakers, and doers in order to facilitate the learning cycle. Ms. Fair is a Master Clinician for the Ready2Teach Program at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN.
